I can't believe I let all this time pass by and forgot to mention my very first trunk show, which my good friend and co-worker was kind enough to host 'round the middle of December. Molly sent me some fantastic jewelry trees for my display - they were a hit! And JW enabled me to locate a table cloth large enough to cover a pingpong table. Who woulda thunk it would be so hard to get the dimensions of a pingpong table.
After procuring giant double-bottles of wine from Costco (god bless you Costco) we were ready to get people tipsy enough to spend some money! The show was a hit - we had a good turnout, and thankfully, the snow didn't start until the next day.
Mom had the idea, when I was visiting over Thanksgiving, of using colorful card stock for earring cards - it was fantastic - pairs stayed together, and I made a whole bunch of $6.00 gemstone pairs.
One of my co-workers who purchased a gorgeous blue y-necklace told me that she picked her daughter up from daycare to discover her daughter wearing her necklace! Apparently her husband let their daughter pick out her outfit for the day, so she headed straight for her mom's jewelry box and picked out the new piece. Not too shabby - if my work can withstand an entire day on a toddler - and what can I say, that kid has great taste!
Everybody seemed just delighted with the show - we're planning another one for somewhere before Mother's Day.
AND I've finally got my stuff up on
Etsy and
Big Cartel. Check it out yo! Coming up? My web page!
